The payment stages matter. The initial application fee is nonrefundable; the remaining contribution follows approval under the portal’s process. Do not describe the whole contribution as due with an initial enquiry. Before sending funds, verify the official recipient, supported asset and network, quotation validity and the evidence that will establish receipt.

The current portal says a principal applicant may include one spouse and children under 18. An adult child or a parent should not be added to that promise based on a general description of a family programme. Their position needs separate assessment and confirmation of an available route.

List each person’s age, nationality and relationship at the outset. Birth and marriage records must connect the applicants, and custody or parental consent may require additional work. A child approaching a relevant birthday is a timing issue to disclose before an application timetable is proposed. Each person also needs the identity documents applicable to their stage.

A signed message or scoped ownership check may help establish control of an address. It does not by itself explain how the coins were acquired. A strong file connects the original lawful income or asset sale to purchase or receipt of Bitcoin, later transfers and the funds proposed for the contribution.

For miners, that may mean equipment and operating records, pool statements and payout addresses. For a long-term holder, it may mean early purchase records, exchange exports and a clear explanation of transfers between personal wallets. A business-funded history may require invoices and evidence of the underlying activity. Missing records should be identified before the government requests them.

Do not assume that a complex history is automatically acceptable or automatically disqualifying. Sanctions exposure, third-party payments, unexplained inflows and broken evidence trails need specific review. Neither a new wallet nor a conversion into another asset changes the underlying history. Private keys and seed phrases are never part of the evidence request.

The government FAQ describes approvals as typically taking up to six weeks, with timing dependent on verification of the required information. That is an approval estimate, not a guaranteed period from first contact to a passport in your hand.

Document gathering, further questions, completion of conditions, naturalization, passport issuance and collection can each affect the total schedule. Identify which steps can be handled remotely and which require an appointment before making travel commitments. A marketing description of a remote process is not a substitute for current written instructions.
