Bitcoin Lawyer LLC · Service information

Your information, in plain words.

What we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

Bitcoin Lawyer LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, is responsible for the information collected through this website. Contact contact@bitcoinlawyer.com with privacy questions or requests.

Contact enquiries

The contact form asks for your name, email, selected subject, and message. A screening enquiry may also include the service you selected. We use these details to respond, including when you contact us about an existing matter. Our policy is to delete the website enquiry record after 90 days. Relevant correspondence may be kept separately with an engagement, or when needed for a dispute or legal obligation. The form sends no automatic reply and does not subscribe you to marketing.

Screening appointments

The free screening booking opens on Calendly. It asks for your name and email, with an optional short description of your goal. We use this information to prepare for and manage the appointment. Calendly sends the booking confirmation and Zoom meeting details. Booking a screening call does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Do not put sensitive documents, account details or wallet credentials in the booking form.

Sessions and payments

Session intake records your name, email, chosen service, question, optional jurisdiction and timing details, payment rail, language, and acceptance of the terms. Payment providers receive the information needed to process payment. Our policy is to delete the free-text preparation details after 90 days. Your name, email, payment references, payment status, and terms acceptance remain with the transaction record for service, accounting, and dispute purposes. We do not retain card numbers or wallet private keys.

The newsletter

A newsletter request creates a pending subscription. You must confirm ownership of the email address before receiving recurring issues. We store the email, language, confirmation and consent timestamps, and subscription status. Pending unconfirmed requests expire. Every issue includes a way to unsubscribe. A suppression record may be kept to respect that choice.

The one-time brief

Requesting the brief authorizes one email with the requested information. It does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Delivery and a minimal consent record are handled separately from recurring subscriptions.

Earlier launch notifications

The previous launch-notification list remains separate. Its consent covers the promised launch messages, not an automatic transfer to the newsletter. The legacy delivery system uses Resend and a private Google Sheets record. Existing unsubscribe links continue to apply to that audience.

Service providers

The site is hosted on Hetzner. Resend handles operational email. Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect forms against automated abuse. Square handles card checkout; the BTCPay-based settlement service creates Bitcoin payment invoices. Calendly handles free screening bookings and paid-session bookings after payment confirmation. Its Zoom integration handles the meetings. These providers process the information necessary for their respective functions under their own applicable privacy notices. We do not load a podcast player or booking embed on marketing pages.

Separate records and backups

Deleting a website enquiry or preparation record does not erase email correspondence, records held by a payment or scheduling provider, or copies in backups. Those records may have different retention periods. Contact us to ask about access or deletion; we will explain which records can be removed and which need to be kept.

Cookies and abuse prevention

A necessary, secure session cookie provides access to your payment status and booking. It is not an advertising identifier. Short-lived abuse-prevention records help limit automated submissions. The exit panel uses a sessionStorage flag to avoid appearing repeatedly; it expires with the browser session. We do not install advertising pixels or third-party analytics. Hosting and security providers may keep operational logs.

Your choices

You can ask for access, correction or deletion, withdraw newsletter consent, or raise a concern by emailing contact@bitcoinlawyer.com. Some records must be kept to complete a transaction, respect an opt-out, resolve a dispute or comply with an obligation. We explain any applicable limit when responding. Information may be processed in countries other than your own through our providers.

Keep sensitive records off the form

Do not send passport scans, bank details, private keys or seed phrases through the public forms. If further documentation is needed, agree an appropriate transfer method with us first.
